OBAMACARE AT ITS WORST

This week the controversy over the health care law popularized as “Obamacare” will reach the Supreme Court. THIS SHOULD BE FUN

Florida and 26 other states filed claims that Obamacare is unconstitutional and while I agree that Obamacare is unconstitutional let is not forget that is it also a horribly constructed law that will eventually bankrupt this great nation.

As you read this, I ask that you imagine a future in which the US government runs our healthcare systems. Think about how dysfunctional the DMV and the US Postal Services are and then imagine our health care systems being controlled by the US government’s obvious business slogan “HURRY UP AND WAIT.”

Now, why is everyone is such an uproar about the shit storm that Obamacare will rain down? Let us take a look…

#1 Obamacare mandates that by 2014 every American MUST have government approved health insurance, and those who do not, will be fined. Obamacare allows the government to tell you what you MUST spend your own money on. – Sweet, I am glad to know Obama sees the United States Constitution as a list of suggestions that can be ignored at his discretion.

#2 Obamacare forces insurers to accept all applicants and Forbids insurance companies to deny insurance coverage to those with pre-existing conditions or high-risk lifestyles. – This provision is no big deal except for the fact that it is a HUGE deal that will potentially collapse and bankrupt the industry. By forcing insurers to accept all applicants they will undoubtedly have to raise the price of insurance and premiums and/or cover less medical care across the table.

WHY IS THIS? Because insurance is a business and there is no way to make money by covering all of the health costs for people with pre-existing conditions or high-risk lifestyles. I know this sounds bad but the facts are the facts.

Insurance companies will not be allowed to reject anyone, which means that either our health insurance costs and premiums will go up in order to subsidize people with pre-existing conditions and/or they will lower the amount of care we are currently entitled to with insurance – Thanks a heap Obama

#3 The ‘Government Option’ of Obamacare mandates that people who cannot afford private health insurance will be covered by the government. Oh and when I say ‘the government’ will be paying for it, I mean you and your tax dollars will be paying for it. The taxpayers will be footing this bill. – This is why President Obama hasn’t been using Obamacare in his re-election campaign.

WHEN TRYING TO GET RE-ELECTED AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IT IS NEVER IDEAL TO HAVE A 1 TRILLION DOLLAR ENTITLEMENT PROGAM ON YOUR RECORD

#4 Obamacare requires Employers to provide health care coverage for their employees. This will hurt small business the most. Businesses will have to spend more money on insuring their employees, which will cost them money and require them to cut back on employees so that they can afford insurance for the remaining ones. SPOLIER ALERT, employers who do not provide coverage WILL BE FINED! – This is the opposite of WINNING

#5 Obamacare threatens to CUT OFF FEDERAL AID to states that do not comply with its demands for expanding the federal-state Medicaid program for low-income people. — REALLY? I guess Obama is operating under the whole “Do as I say, whether you agree with me or not, or else I will threaten you and everyone who lives within your state lines.” — Yes, because threats always work out so well.

ALAS, LET ME LEAVE YOU WITH THIS TOKEN OF WISDOM. It has been going around the Internet for some time, but I think DrewM.’s originated it:

Health care in the US is covered by three main systems– Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. Two of these systems are bankrupt, and will be unable to make payments beyond 2017. The third is solvent, and can make all of its payments for the foreseeable future.

Obama’s plan is to take the one system meeting its obligations and fold it into the two systems that are bankrupt.”
